Main Web sites

The Web home page at CERN is the primary logical starting place for anyone wanting to find out about the Web:

http://info.cern.ch/

It has links to information on a wide variety of Web-related issues, including lists of client and server software and documentation, the W3 catalogue of Web resources, other resource catalogues, lists of Web sites arranged by country and by service type, and the WWW Virtual Library (see below).

The NCSA `What's New' page is updated three times per week, and provides a good way of keeping up with the latest developments:

http://www.ncsa.uiuc.edu/SDG/Software/Mosaic/Docs/whats-new.html

The page is available in the public domain and, at the time of writing, is receiving around 200 submissions a week.

Note: this HTML document was generated in December 1994 directly from the LaTeX source files using LaTeX2HTML. It was formatted into our standard page layout using the Template Toolkit. The document is mainly of historical interest as obviously many of the sites mentioned have long since disappeared.
