Usenet News groups

There are a number of Usenet News groups dedicated to discussion of issues concerning the Web.

comp.infosystems.announce

Covers announcements of network information, a lot of it directly about the Web.

comp.infosystems.www.providers

Web server software discussion newsgroup, also covers all topics of interest to information providers.

comp.infosystems.www.users

A discussion newsgroup for Web users and user-related issues, particularly concerned with browsers.

comp.infosystems.www.misc

Covers general Web-related topics in areas not covered by the other newsgroups.

comp.infosystems.www

Please note, this is now obsolete, although it was the original Web newsgroup. You may see it referred to on the Web, but it has been defunct since June, 1994.

CERN maintains a list of Web-related newsgroups:

The document is mainly of historical interest as obviously many of the sites mentioned have long since disappeared.
