gf

gf converts SGML to plain text or LaTeX. It is necessary to have the SGML document type definition (DTD) for the document. Written by Gary Houston of Actrix Information Exchange in New Zealand, the current (alpha) version of gf is 0.44, and is available free of charge from:

ftp://ftp.th-darmstadt.de/pub/text/sgml/misc/gf-0.44.tar.gz

gf uses the sgmls program, which can be obtained from:

ftp:/ftp.ifi.uio.no/pub/SGML/SGMLS

Note: this HTML document was generated in December 1994 directly from the LaTeX source files using LaTeX2HTML. It was formatted into our standard page layout using the Template Toolkit. The document is mainly of historical interest as obviously many of the sites mentioned have long since disappeared.
